ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Women who work for the city, county and Water, Gas and Light, took a long lunch break today to learn about the importance of self breast exams. October is breast cancer awareness month.

In addition to breast health, the women took part in free screenings for things like high blood pressure and diabetes. Beverly McCrimmon said, "The ladies were very very interested in education regarding breast cancer and things of that nature."

Phoebe and Subway partnered with the government agencies for the Women at Work program.
