ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany murder trial had to be stopped for the day when the defense attorney became ill. The trial is scheduled to resume Friday.

54 year old John Dodson, Junior is on trial charged with murder, armed robbery, and aggravated assault.

His lawyer, Jerry Brimberry, became ill during the trial Thursday morning, and the Judge continued it.

Prosecutors say August 31st Dodson beat 82 year old Willie Wright with a stick while robbing him in this lot on South Jackson Street. Wright died about a month and a half later.
