CAIRO, GA (WALB) - A suspected burglar was caught in the act in Cairo. Police say someone spotted 38-year old Benjamin Garbo kicking in the door of a house on First Street yesterday.
Garbo was still inside this house when police arrived. He ran, but was caught about a block away.
"The offender was just released Monday from the Department of Corrections for the same offense. He hasn't been out for even 24 hours before he was back doing his job again," says Lt. Johnny Myers with the Cairo Police Department.
Garbo is charged with burglary and obstructing an officer. He's in the Grady County Jail Wednesday night. Feedback
