TURNER COUNTY, GA (WALB) - The price of gas is also a lot higher along Interstate 75. Two gas stations in Turner County had the price for a gallon of regular unleaded at 3.99.

A price that Shirley Ladd and her husband said is the highest they have had to pay so far. Both are coming from Crestwood, Kentucky and are on their way to see family in Bradley, Florida. They say the farther south they go, the higher the price.

"I think its absolutely ridiculous. It's gouging. So, if you can get it for $3.34 in one place, why can't you pay that at all the places," said Ladd.

Shirley said that a gallon of regular unleaded only cost her 3:24 a gallon in Kentucky.
