Albany- Water Gas and Light commissioners are looking at the future of energy.

They heard from Robert Langstaff Wednesday morning about some proposed changes by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. They want to change the way regional transmission organization's do business, affecting W-G-and L's supplier MEAG. Langstaff says if Congress approves the plan, homeowners in Albany will pay the same rate per kilowat hour for energy as those in California.

Water Gas and Light's 50-year power sales agreement with MEAG will expire in about 20 years.
