Albany- A former Albany Police Department officer and her son plead guilty to charges in the same courtroom Wednesday morning.

 Former Albany Police Lieutenant Delbra Brown plead guilty to two counts of influencing witnesses. She was sentenced to ten years probation and fined two thousand dollars, and surrendered her certification to be a Police Officer. Brown admitted paying 700 dollars to a neighbor to drop charges against her son, who was arrested for molesting the neighbor's 13-year-old child.

21-year-old Douglas Brown plead guilty to two misdemeanor counts of simple battery. Brown was sentenced to 24 months probation and fined 300 dollars.

Delbra Brown is retired from the Albany Police Department.
