Albany - Deerfield-Windsor Lady Knights bats were silenced by Stratford's Morgan Long in the first round of the GISA softball playoffs.
Long held the Lady Knights to two hits in the first inning in the Lady Eagles 3-1 win.
Stratford won game two 5-1 to advance to the second round this weekend.
The Lady Knights had won five of their last six to finish second in their region.
Deerfield-Windsor got an infield hit from Torri Knight to lead off the bottom of the first in game one and Joyce Knight drove her in with a two-out single.
Stratford tied the game on a single by Catherine Chambliss in the fifth and scored two runs in the sixth.
Deerfield-Windsor finishes the season 13-11.
