Albany-Furniture is being taken out of the Carolina Furniture Liquidator's store by the truckload. Owner Mike Loosier says promoter D.M. Reid from Salem, Massachusetts is repossessing his furniture because he can't pay for it.

Loosier blames the Albany sign ordinance that prohibits him from advertising in city right of way. Loosier filed for an emergency injunction in Superior Court to keep the city from enforcing the ordinance, but the judge ruled the case wasn't filed properly.

Loosier says he'll deliver to customers who've already made their purchases, and he's looking for another furniture supplier and promoter. His promotional signs say Carolina Furniture is going out of business.
