FTZGERALD, GA (WALB) - Fitzgerald Police are investigating the drowning of a baby boy in a swimming pool.

Officers responded to the pool a little before eight Friday night where 22-month-old Tyrese Carter is believed to have drowned.

Police are not releasing that exact location because they are still conducting interviews.

The Department of Family and Children Services are also investigating this case.

The body will be taken to a crime lab in Atlanta Monday morning.
