ALBANY, GA (WALB) - You can get a tax break the next four days on energy and water-efficient products that could eventually save you more money at home.

Georgia's tax free holiday on energy star and water sense products started Thursday October 2nd. For the next four days there will be no sales tax on those water and energy saving products that include refrigerators, dishwashers, clothes washers and dryers. It's not just big items, there's some everyday products too.

"It also applies to small things like you don't even think about for instance florescent lights, ceiling fans, and also faucets," said Angeline Bradford, of Lowe's.

This is the first year the state has extended the tax free savings to include WaterSense qualified products which use less water. The tax free holiday ends at midnight Sunday October 5th.
