Albany - Dougherty County is receiving two new ambulances to replace older trucks in its fleet. Each year the county buys two new ambulances and retires 2 older emergency vehicles.
"Sometimes the older trucks are bought by other Georgia counties," said Bobby Tripp, EMS Director. The two new emergency vehicles will cost $160,000 and are budgeted county expenses. The county saved about $10,000 by using the same ambulance supplier as last year.
