Cordele-  The Deerfield-Windsor softball team enters the playoffs on a roll.   The Lady Knights beat Southland 6-3 in a playoff to determine second place in the GISA region 3-AAA.

That is important because the Lady Knights will be at home for the first round of the state playoffs Monday against Stratford.

Deerfield-Windsor's Hilary Grider hit a solo homerun on her 18th birthday.

In Sylvester, Worth County beat Peach County 10-2.  The Lady Rams need one win in their final two regioin games to clinch top seed in the region.
