ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Investigators hope a reward will help them catch a downtown Moultrie arsonist. Someone set fire to three businesses Monday night.

The Downtown Moultrie Association is offering the reward and says several businesses plan to match it. Around nine Monday night someone set fire to several hay bales on First Street Southeast. That scorched the front of the Blue Sky Grill, Henson Sewing Center and Heritage Embroidery and Gifts.

Quick action of good samaritan saved the buildings. Anyone with information about the crime is urged to call the Moultrie Fire Department or the Police Tips Hotline at (229) 873-3198.
