Albany - It will literally be homecoming for the Deerfield-Windsor Knights football team Friday night against Piedmont Academy.
That is because the Knights are back at home after three straight road games and the shortest drive of those three was an hour to Damascus to play Southwest Georgia.
Knights head coach Allen Lowe is excited about playing a home game and hopefully getting several injured starters back.
Deerfield-Windsor has gone four games without running back Andy Clack.
During that time. Coach Lowe says his quarterback Tommy Forestal has really stepped up his game.
Allen Lowe said "(Running back Tony) Zenon has been carrying a bigger part of the load but (quarterback Tommy ) Forrestal has been throwing the ball well and has been very efficient. We are averaging over 20 yards per catch. As long as we can do things to keep people honest. We will feel a lot better."
