Albany - It is not often that the Albany State Golden Rams lose a game to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe.
The Rams 13-10 loss to Benedict Saturday night is the first to an SIAC team other than Tuskegee in five years.
Albany State ready to bounce back in front of their fans when the Golden Rams host Stillman College Saturday night.
Head coach Mike White also wants to see improved play in his offensive line and for his team to cut down on penalties.
The Golden Rams were flagged 14 times Saturday night.
Bouncing back is important because Albany State is still in the running for the SIAC title.
Mike White said "The seniors and your leaders are staying in a positive mode. We know we what we have to do. We have got to win each one of them. One conference loss can win this thing."
Quarterback A.J. McKenna said "Bouncing back is going to be the key this week. We are playing a tough Stillman team. Hopefully, we can bounce back strong."
Albany State back at home to play Stillman College Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Albany Municipal Coliseum.
