VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A Lakeland couple was arrested for running a meth lab around children.

45-year-old James Bennett and 47-year-old Cynthia Boyd face a long list of charges including manufacturing methamphetamine and theft by receiving stolen property.

Lanier County deputies were called to their home after receiving complaints they were cooking meth in front of a young child.

An investigation confirmed that and uncovered illegal drugs, components to make meth, three guns and a high tech surveillance system.

They also found an illegal sales shop for cars, boats and mobile homes believed to be stolen.
