ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Cooper Tire employees are back at work.

Cooper Tire resumed operations Monday. The production lines shut down Wednesday because of a shortage of synthetic rubber needed to make tires.

Hurricane Ike interrupted the production of the chemical used to make the rubber.

A company spokesperson would not comment on whether all employees are back working full hours and would only say the company is dependant on their suppliers to continue production.
