ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Worth County man drowned while looking for arrowheads this weekend along the Flint River between Baker and Mitchell Counties.

Baker County Sheriff Dana Meade said 47-year-old Ron Parish was walking in the River with a friend near the Flint River Outpost boat landing late Saturday morning.

Parish lost his footing and was carried down river. Meade said Parish could not swim.

His body was recovered by several boaters down stream.
