VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A Valdosta man claims he was robbed, kidnapped and forced to play Russian roulette with a loaded gun.

Investigators say 47 year-old Mike Haywood was at a rest stop near Newton, North Carolina Wednesday night.

They say he left his truck and when he returned, a man was inside with a gun.

Reports say the gunman forced Haywood to drive him about 40 miles on Interstate 40. He then duct taped Haywood, took $100 in cash, emptied all but one bullet from the cylinder and threatened to shoot the driver.

Haywood was able to free himself and call police.

They say there are no suspects at this time.
