Blazer offense turns corner

September 25, 2008

Albany-    Number one ranked Valdosta State will be on the road for the first time in the Gulf South Conference when they play at West Alabama.

Blazer coaches are anxious to see how redshirt freshman Chris Hart responds in his first road start.

Head coach David Dean believes Hart found out he can lead the Blazers with his second half performance.

Hart threw three touchdown passes and ran for a score in the second half last week.

David Dean said "With what we he was doing in the pocket, we protected better. We ran good routes. We were catching the ball. That was not what we were doing in the first half. When we did that we started to get our confidence. I tell you I don't think I have ever been associated with a game where you got 400 yards in total offense in one half."

Valdosta State has won 22 in a row against West Alabama.

Game time is at 8:00 p.m.  Saturday in Livingston, Alabama.
