A concerned citizen is stepping up to help the children who have been devastated by the tornado in Oklahoma.More >>
VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The state wants your help to plan tomorrow's transportation today.
Transportation officials are traveling the state to get input on ways to improve in and invest in Georgia's roads, public transit, airports and seaports.
Thursday, they stopped in Valdosta.
They say the suggestions will help them shape a transportation plan to improve the existing systems and help find money to get the projects up and running.
"We've got to find other ways, tolling, private partnerships which bring private money into play will be important sources of revenue for us to consider," says Executive Director of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority.
Once the plan is put together, the general assembly will have to approve it and find the money for the projects.
