VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - With a shaky economy, charities all over the country are feeling the pinch.

The Valdosta Board of Realtors wants to help keep one going.

They'll hold a garage sale this weekend selling donated items from the community.

All proceeds will go to Break Bread Together, a church-run charity that brings food and meals to seniors unable to get them on their own.

"We hope we'll give them a significant amount of money to help with their budget and maybe take in some extra elderly people in their program. I understand there is a waiting list," says Peggi Polido of the Valdosta Board of Realtors.

The fundraiser will take place Saturday at the old Snapper building at 1015 North Ashley Street in Valdosta from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
