ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Albany Police are on the lookout for a group of men believed to be behind a shooting that left a man hospitalized.

The victim told police it was about 9:00 Monday night when he was approached by three black men. Sometime during that encounter, one of those men pulled a gun and opened fire.

It happened in 600 block of Holland Drive. That is where police found 25 year-old Kavorius Cantrell Devone lying on the ground. He had been shot at least once. Investigators say Devone was conscious when police arrived and was transported to the hospital by EMS. So far though, authorities have not said what they believe the motive was in the shooting.

Devone was taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, but no word on his condition.

The suspects were last seen leaving the area of Holland Drive in either a silver or gray Chevrolet Malibu. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Police.
