Lee County--The race for the House seat is up for grabs, with two remaining candidates vying for the Republican nomination.

Ed Rynders squeaked by with 26 more votes than Darrel Ealum, but it wasn't enough to take the nomination. Ida Chambers took the majority of her votes in Lee County, and those votes will be the deciding factor in the run-off. Rynders says he is counting on grassroots support to win.

District 137 Candidate Ed Rynders says, "No strategy session yet but pleased that we got in the race late and even in Colquitt and our home county came through for us."

Darrell Ealum did not want to comment about the run-off today. People who voted in the Republican primary, or voters who didn't cast any ballot yesterday, will be eligible to vote in the September 10th District 137 runoff.
