ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State University students were campaigning for new voters this fall.

Albany State University's Student Government Association along with the 2009 King Day Committee and local agencies teamed up for the "My Voice, My Vote" initiative.

Voter Registration booths were set up in front of the K-mart in Albany as well as the Albany Mall.

"To much is given, much is required. We were given the opportunity to register to vote so we are required to register to vote. So many people have fought for us to do so. So that is why we are here," said SGA President, Quenton Davis.

The last day to register to vote in the November fourth elections is October 6th .
