Albany - With so many great football games on television, the Albany State Rams picked a good weekend to have an open date.
The Rams have been working hard during this bye week to prepare for challenging stretch of SIAC games over the next seven weeks.
One area head coach Mike White has addressed this week is the defense which allowed more than 400 yards in last week's win at Kentucky State.
With a new defensive front, coach White knew his line would struggle early but the coach says the progress has not met his expectations.
Mike White said "I do understand you struggle a little bit with pass defense without a good pass rush. I did think we would be a little further along than we are."
Albany State is back in action next week at Benedict College.
