Albany - Westover High Patriots took advantage of three second half turnovers to beat Perry 28-21 Thursday night.
The Panthers took a 21-7 lead early in the third quarter on a 73 yard touchdown pass from Dardra Ragin to Ephraim Wheeler.
Westover had two drives in that quarter stopped deep in Panther territory on downs and a fumble by Patriots quarterback Rashad Jackson.
It was Perry fumble late in the third quarter that led to Jackson's 11-yard touchdown run early in the fourth to make the score 21-13 with Perry blocking the extra point.
The big play in the game was Perry's Brandon Grace trying to pick up a Westover punt inside the Panther five yard line.
Grace fumbled and Shontravious Armstrong recovered at the Perry two-yard line.
Jackson scored on the sneak on the next play and Rayshon Mathis ran in the two point conversion to tie the game at 21.
Bryce McCormack's punt was downed at the Perry one-yard line with just over three minutes to play.
The Panthers tried to throw out of the endzone but Rashad Jackson picked off the pass and ran it in for the game winning touchdown.
Westover is 4-0 on the season and on the road next Friday at Crisp County.
Perry is 1-3 and at home next week against Peach County.
