VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - An Albany State University student teacher is charged with aggravated child molestation.
26-year-old David Lawton was teaching at Southeast Elementary School in Valdosta when he was arrested. Prosecutors say he was involved in a relationship with a 15 year old girl.
ASU has removed Lawton from the school system and will suspend his participation in all student teaching activities.
Lawton is being held at the Lowndes County jail without bond.
