Albany - It has been a great week for the Albany High football team.
Quarterback Barry Diamond picking up the Orthopaedic Associates Albany area player of the week award from Dr. Paul Michas.
Diamond accounted for three touchdowns in the Tribe's 28-23 win last week at Kendrick.
A victory that ended a 23 game losing streak for the Indians.
It is a great feeling for Albany High team that has worked very hard over the last three years to get the streak off of their back.
Barry Diamond said "We had fun. We did what he had to do. We couldn't do it without each other. We each stuck it out together and did what we had to do."
Albany High is back in action next Friday against the Cook High Hornets in Adel.
