CAIRO, GA (WALB) - A Cairo man is charged with slitting his wife's throat.
52-year old William Knight is accused of attacking his wife Shirley during an argument at their home Saturday afternoon.
Neighbors saw Mrs. Knight stumble across the street and fall into a neighbor's ditch. That's where police found her bleeding from the neck wound.
She was rushed to Grady General Hospital and survived. Mr. Knight was arrested the next day and charged with aggravated assault. He bonded out of jail Monday. Feedback
