VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Nearly 40 students from Valdosta are spending the week in the nations capitol.
Wednesday, the 8th grade class from Valwood met with Congressman Jack Kingston on the steps of the capitol building.
The meeting was one of many stops on the busy itinerary that's included visits to Arlington National Cemetery, the Holocaust Museum and the areas many war monuments.
The class left Sunday and will return Friday.
