Turner County

People without cars in Turner County have a new way to get around.

The county has introduced a rural bus system called Turner Transit. All you have to do is give them a call 24 hours in advance and they'll pick you up and take you wherever you need to go in the county.

"I take people to work, so they can have a job and get to work on time," driver Martha Frager said.

Turner County now has three busses serving the community. The number to call to make a reservation is 567-3400. It will cost you 3 dollars for trips under 10 miles and 8 dollars for trips  more than 10 miles. Trips outside of the county can also be arranged.
