Decatur County - Investigators are anxiously awaiting autopsy results on the baby that was found in a freezer.
More than two weeks ago, 41-year-old Melissa Hamilton Ferguson of Decatur County was arrested and charged with concealing a death and abandonment of a dead body.
Ferguson called 911 after her adult children found the dead baby girl while looking for something to eat. Ferguson admitted to police she put the baby in the freezer more than a year ago.
Investigators need GBI autopsy results to determine if the baby died a natural death or was killed. Depending on results, Ferguson could be facing more charges.
