Georgia linebacker Rennie Curran is the SEC's defensive player of the week.
Curran made the key play in the Bulldogs win when he forced Gamecocks running back Mike Davis to fumble the football into the Georgia endzone where the Bulldogs recovered and stopped Carolina's drive for a game tying touchdown.
Curran finished the game with six tackles and a quarterback sack.
Albany State running back Brian Porter is the SIAC's co-special teams player of the week winner.
Porter returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the Rams win at Kentucky State Saturday.
Georgia Southern quarterback Antonio Henton is the Southern Conference offensive player of the week.
Henton threw 298 yards and two touchdowns and ran for three scores in the Eagles overtime win over Northeastern.
