ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Future golf champs were able to learn from the best Saturday morning. Six stations were set up at The First Tee in Albany where almost 100 children learned the basics of the sport during the Nancy Lopez and friends junior golf clinic.

Members of the championship Darton College golf team were on hand to properly teach them how to putt, chip, and long-drive a golf ball. And the lessons learned on the course are also ones that can be transferred to their daily lives.

"You are keeping your score and you have to have integrity in doing that and honesty in doing that to know you are going to mark down exactly what you actually earned for that hole of golf," said Administrative Director, Dana Mitchell.

This junior golf clinic concludes the Nancy Lopez's golf tournament benefiting the Wilson Hospice House.
