A new bedding factory is bringing 100 jobs to Albany. American Signature, Incorporated will open a bedding manufacturing facility at the Pecan Grove Industrial Park next fall.

Company Vice President, Gary Tittle, says he first came to Albany to look at space for a retail store. On his way to the airport to fly back home, Tittle asked if there was an industrial park, and within a few hours he was sold on also bringing a factory here.

Gary Tittle says, "I said 'Do you have an industrial park here?' We were close to the park, and he made a hard left turn into the park, and we had a meeting at McGregor. Later that day, we had a new facility."

Today, Company officials and local leaders broke ground at the site where the $2.25 million dollar building will be constructed. Construction is expected to begin in January, with the grand opening scheduled for fall.
