"One-Georgia" funding means more jobs for one south Georgia town.

Governor Roy Barnes and the One-Georgia Authority awarded the Valdosta-Lowndes County Industrial Authority a $201,000 grant to develop a 23-acre incubator site in the Lake Park Industrial center.

"We hope this money will help us market to smaller businesses without disturbing our larger businesses in the park and bring more jobs into the Lake Park area," said Ken Garren, Director of the Lake Park Industrial Park.

The money will be used to develop eight sites, ranging in size from two-to-four acres.
