Man convicted of Armed Robbery

August 15, 2002

A Bainbridge man is found guilty of holding up his fast food manager at gunpoint.

This morning, a jury convicted 21-year-old Richard Jermine Williams of armed robbery and tampering with evidence.

On February 16th, Williams got off work at Wendy's in Bainbridge and came back with a BB gun. He held up the night manager and stole more than three-thousand dollars. Williams was in disguise, but was later caught in nearby woods.

Investigators say Williams was sentenced to twenty years, but should only serve ten.
