ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Lee County probationer who bolted from the courtroom, was caught Wednesday.

Twenty year old Dustin Lee was arrested on Augusta Court behind Winn Dixie Wednesday afternoon.

The viewer saw his picture on our news at noon and then spotted him walking down her street and called the Sheriff's Office.

"The person who had walked up said he had just seen the news release at 12:00 on Channel 10 and saw his picture and saw that he was wanted for escapee and said he wanted him locked up, he was just being a concerned citizen wanting to get him off the street," said Lt. Lewis Harris, Lee County Sheriff's Office.

Tuesday the Lee County Sheriff's office had planned to question Lee about some other burglaries in the county when he ran. A Georgia State Patrol Helicopter was used to search for Lee for several hours before the search was called off.
