Valdosta- Tropical Storm Hanna is expected to make landfall between Georgia and North Carolina on Saturday morning.
The storm's track and expected strengthening have high school football teams on the Georgia coast moving up this week's game to Thursday.
Valdosta High will play Windsor-Forest from Savannah on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Cleveland Field.
Coffee High athletic director Bud Drew says the Trojans game with Pierce County has been moved to Thursday.
Coffee High and Pierce County will play at 7:00 p.m. at Jardine Stadium.
Cook High principal Jute Wilson says his Hornets will play Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. Thursday night at the Hornets Nest in Adel.
Atkinson County will play at Brantley County on Thursday at 7:00 p.m., Jeff Davis will host Tefair County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in Hazlehurst and Appling County and Effingham County will play at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in Baxley.
Other games moved to Thursday due to Hanna are Burke Co. at Ware Co., Wayne Co. at Bradwell Institute, Glynn Academy at McIntosh County and Benedictine at Savannah.
The Georgia-Florida shootout in Kingsland has also been moved to Thurday.
Charlton County will play Jacksonville's First Coast High and Camden County will play Columbia County, Florida on Thursday.
