ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A convicted criminal is still on the loose Tuesday night in Lee County. 20-year old Dustin Lee was sentenced to probation at the Lee County Courthouse Tuesday afternoon for breaking into cars.

Shortly after, he ran from the courtroom because investigators wanted to question him about some other burglaries.

A man hunt went on for hours after his escape. The Georgia State Patrol Helicopter hovered the city and a perimeter was set up to search for Lee. The Lee State Prison K-9 unit was also used to search for him.

He was wearing a red shirt when people last saw him in court. Lee County officials called off the search Tuesday night. If you see him, you should call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 229-759-3334. Feedback
