Guy gets probation, then bolts?

September 2, 2008

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) - Helicopters are hovering over downtown Leesburg as law officers look for a convicted criminal who bolted from the courtroom about 3:30 Tuesday.

20-year-old Dustin Lee was sentenced to probation for breaking into cars, but then turned and ran out of the courtroom before his case could be processed by his probation officer.

He was last spotted just north of downtown Leesburg in some woods near Tri-County Ag. The Lee State Prison K-9 unit is being used to search for him, as is the Georgia State Patrol helicopter.

He was wearing a red shirt. If you see him, you should call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 229-759-3334.
