Cairo woman dies in accident

A Cairo woman dies in a car accident yesterday evening.

49-year-old Betty Mobley was killed after the driver of the car she was riding in crossed the path of another car.

18-year-old John F. Johnson, Junior was driving North on Georgia 1-11 and attempted to take a left turn onto Tired Creek Road in Grady County. 45-year-old Elizabeth Williams of Cairo was traveling South on Georgia 1-11 and struck Johnson.

Johnson and Williams were treated and released from the hospital. Charges are pending.
