Dougherty County is looking into drainage problems facing dozens of families living on the county line. Every time there's a hard rain, it floods the yards of hundreds of people living on Elliot, Jenkins, and James Streets.

Today, some residents asked county commissioners to fix the drainage problem. The commission is sending engineers to survey the area and see what needs to be done to stop the routine flooding.

Engineers will report to the commission with an estimate for fixing the problem.
