ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany police are investigating the death of a man in Northwest Albany. Officers arrived at 2013 Doncaster Drive around 11:30 a.m.

Friday to perform a personal welfare check on 47-year old Mark Luke, who hadn't been seen since Wednesday. When they arrived, they found him dead. Police tell us there didn't appear to be any sign of foul play. They believe Luke may have fallen, leading to his death.

"They had not heard from him or seen him, phone calls were not being responded to. That's what initiated the officers respond to the area to conduct the check," said Phyllis Banks, Albany Police Department Media Director.

Coroner Emma Quimbley is in the process of gathering Luke's medical history to determine if she will order an autopsy.
