If you are trying to decrease those worrisome summer cravings, there is something you can do. You should try eating a handful of peanuts.

A new Purdue University study shows a couple of handfuls of peanuts a day can curb your hunger and help you avoid obesity. Researchers found that peanuts make you feel full, so you don't eat very much during the day.

Clinical dietician, Debbie Peters, says it's the fiber in the peanuts that decreases your appetite. Peters says, "They contain fiber and fiber as we know helps give you that full feeling as well."

Peters also says filling up on water also helps curb your appetite.
