If you're a Mediacom customer you're cable line-up will change soon.
Mediacom is upgrading their system in Albany, Dawson, Sylvester and Leesburg. Mediacom started upgrading in March and is half-way done with switching to fiber optic cables.
The upgrading will give old channel's a new home. Senior Director of Operations, Jim Walker, explains, "We're gonna move approximately eleven channels to new locations on channel lineup. Which is not very popular with customers, but it's necessary as part of the upgrade as we blend several communities together."
Mediacom sent brochures with channel number changes to customers.
The change is expected to begin early in the morning on August 20th. Mediacom serves approximately fifty thousand customers in South Georgia.
