ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The threat of heavy rain from Tropical Storm Fay provided a good training opportunity for public works employees.

Crews continued to make sure storm drains were clear of debris and draining properly.

Oliver Moses has been with public works for 28 years. He says any time an emergency situation arises, it's an opportunity for growth.

"You learn. You learn. You learn something every time you do it, really. It's a learning process."

And in the process, Albany's storm drains were cleared, so if there is significant rainfall, the storm drainage system will be better able to handle it.
