ALBANY, GA (WALB) - We have some surveillance video from Dougherty Co. Police of a convenience store wall being bashed in by thieves.
It shows the break-in at the Quick Buys Convenience store on Sylvester Road Wednesday morning.
Three guys with shirts over their faces smashed through a wall to get inside. They broke the register, grabbed money, cigarettes, phone cards, and lottery tickets, and took off.
But they actually dropped a lot of their loot as they left.
About those lottery tickets they stole-- guess what? A woman tried to cash one of them Thursday morning.
On video from inside the A and D Food Mart on North Maple Street, you can see a woman drive up in a red Chrysler Concorde.
She tried to cash in a scratch-off ticket, but, you know, those tickets are numbered and this one had already been reported as stolen, so she left empty-handed.
The clerk tried to get her tag number as she left. If you recognize that woman, you could get a reward if you turn her in.
Call Albany Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS or Dougherty County Police at 229-430-6600.
