SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Turn out for early voting has been slow in Worth County. Voting booths are set up in the Worth County Courthouse for the Senate 13 run-off race, but they have stayed mostly empty so far.

Poll workers said only two people came in to cast their ballot Monday and three more came in Tuesday. Wally Roberts is running for the State Senate 13th seat and says that those unhappy with the current state budget cuts need to make sure they vote.

"Hardly anybody come out in Worth County to vote yesterday. I'm hoping they will come out the rest of the week, and than voting day is Tuesday. That's the problem we have getting people out to vote. And they need to know the situations we are in and know the conditions," said Roberts.

The polls will be open for early voting from eight to five at the Worth County Courthouse through Friday.
